Jennifer Brown
Jennifer is a pension subject matter expert with 30 years of experience and knowledge gained from serving as the Executive Vice President & Chief Pension Officer at OMERS; founding trustee at the OPSEU Pension Trust and most recently Assistant Deputy Minister, Ontario Retirement Pension Plan Implementation Secretariat with the Ontario Ministry of Finance.
As Assistant Deputy Minister she was responsible for implementing the operational and delivery systems to support 450,000 Ontario employers and over 4 million members. At OMERS she was responsible for member service, employer service, plan administration, stakeholder and government relations, and plan growth initiatives in a multi-employer plan with over 450,000 members and over 1,000 employers. Jennifer also has private sector experience with pensions and employee benefits at Unisys Canada Inc. and Abitibi Consolidated.
Jennifer was a member of the Financial Services Tribunal from 2010 to 2015 and was appointed to the Ontario Government’s Advisory Council on Pension and Retirement Income in 2010.
